Benefits to Online Counseling
When I first began offering online therapy during the pandemic, I was worried that it would feel distant and disingenuine. I was surprised to find that it was easy to connect with my clients and so much more convenient than meeting in the office.
Online therapy is similar to FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom. From the comfort of your home (or anywhere you feel safe), you can have a full session without needing to drive to my office.
It’s so easy.
Online therapy in Florida also allows me to work with people who live across the state from the Keys to the panhandle. I’m able to work with anyone whose permanent address is in Florida, so even if you’re not local to South Florida, we can work together.
In many ways, online counseling is similar to being in the office. All you need is an internet connection and a private space where you feel safe and comfortable. I send you a link that allows us to meet virtually, and we get started.
How Does Online Therapy Work?
Once you sign up for your free 20-minute consultation, you will receive a link. Just before our appointment time starts, click on the link, and it will bring you to an area where you can check the sound and camera to make sure we can see and hear each other.
When you’re ready, click “Join Video Call” and at our scheduled appointment time, I will log in, and we will be there together, face to face. It’s that simple.
Each week you will do the same thing by clicking on the link in the Client Portal, and we will meet virtually in the safety of your home.
